About us

JARCA is a charitable-social association founded in 1992, and since then we have worked with people with pathological gambling problems. Currently and due to the new needs of society, we also address other non-toxic addictions such as compulsive shopping, internet, cell phones, video games, etc.

The treatment

The treatment consists of self-help therapies, complemented by professionals in the field of psychology and social work. The basis of self-help interventions is to transmit personal experiences, which is aimed at allowing group members to identify with those who have solved their problem or are in the process of solving it. It is about the person trusting that if others like me have done it, I can too. Self-help groups are made up of equals who provide mutual assistance to satisfy common needs, overcome a shared problem or achieve personal change. And they affect face-to-face social interactions and their members assuming their responsibility in solving problems. They function autonomously apart from professionals; These, if they exist, are a complement to the treatment. The objective of the treatment is the following: - Rehabilitation of the Pathological Gambler and his family member, whose objectives are: • Rehabilitation of the Player. • Rehabilitation of the Family Member and his environment. - Normalization of the Player Pathological and his family member, whose objectives are:• Normalization of the Player.• Normalization of the Family member and his environment
